The all-electric 2026 Cadillac Optiq luxury crossover is fast and stylish, but also highly customizable thanks to a variety of driving modes that adapt the vehicle’s behavior to different driving conditions and driver preferences. From everyday comfort to performance-focused settings, each mode adjusts various subsystems, such as steering, acceleration, braking and suspension. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at how each mode functions.

Tour Mode
Touring Mode is the default setting for everyday driving, optimized for a smooth and balanced experience. It is best suited for city streets and highway cruising.
Sports Mode
Sport mode sharpens the vehicle’s response, making it ideal for more spirited driving or when road conditions allow for increased performance, adjusting steering effort, pedal sensitivity and suspension tuning.

Snow/Ice Mode
Snow/Ice mode is designed for low-traction environments, and to do so, modifies throttle response to reduce wheel slip and improve stability on slippery surfaces. It’s worth noting that while this mode improves traction and control, it can also limit acceleration performance on dry pavement.
My mode
My Mode allows drivers to adjust various settings on the 2026 Cadillac Optiq to suit their personal preferences, such as acceleration feel, braking response, steering weight, suspension tuning and even interior motor sound characteristics. Once configured, My Mode remains active throughout the ignition cycle.

V-mode (Optiq-V only)
Only available on the high-performance Optiq-V, V-Mode allows adjustments for dynamic driving at the push of a button. Activated via a dedicated button on the steering wheel, this mode allows the driver to fine-tune several subsystems, such as steering, suspension, acceleration feel, brake response and motor sound. It also introduces Competitive Mode, which further improves handling response.

Max Speed Mode
Velocity Max mode works as intended, maximizing propulsion and motor output when full acceleration is required. When activated, this mode overrides certain propulsion settings to provide increased torque and motor performance, but is not intended for continuous daily use.
