The Japanese automaker’s subsidiary released the 2026 Cadillac CT5 in the Asian country’s domestic market, introducing a refreshed variant of GM’s flagship luxury brand’s midsize sedan for the first time there. The 2026 CT5 is now available at Cadillac dealers, adding to the utility vehicle lineup led by the Cadillac Escalade ICE and Cadillac Lyriq EV crossover.

“General Motors will begin selling the new Cadillac CT5, a luxury sports sedan that incorporates the brand’s proud next-generation design philosophy, at authorized Cadillac dealers nationwide starting April 9, 2026,” GM Japan said. “The Cadillac CT5 was introduced to the Japanese market in 2021 as Cadillac’s mid-size luxury sedan. Now, a new, improved and more refined Cadillac CT5 is coming,” the company added.

Specifically, the updated 2026 Cadillac CT5 was launched in the Japanese market with the Sport trim level as the only one available. In addition to introducing an updated front-end design and cutting-edge interior, the 2026 CT5 Sport for Japan comes standard with the latest safety features and advanced driver assistance systems offered on the nameplate.

Mechanically, the 2026 Cadillac CT5 is still equipped with a 2.0L I4 LSY turbocharged engine that produces 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, combined with GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission. All 2026 CT5 units arriving in Japan are equipped with an all-wheel drivetrain that enhances the agile and sporty driving experience characteristics of the model.

The updated 2026 Cadillac CT5 is now available for sale at authorized Cadillac dealers in Japan, coming in a left-hand drive configuration, with the unit imported from GM’s Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. Therefore, the 2026 CT5 will continue to play a niche, low-volume role focused on loyal Cadillac customers looking for a sporty sedan. Here are the prices for the only version of the vehicle available on the Japanese market:
