About the GMC Hummer EV
The 2026 GMC Hummer EV arrives as the fifth model year for the Pickup and third model year for the SUV, introducing a number of important changes, with better performance, expanded utility, and even some aesthetic changes. Highlights include the debut of the new limited-production Carbon Fiber Edition, as well as the new King Crab off-road mode.
The Carbon Fiber Edition incorporates a variety of aesthetic enhancements, as well as some performance changes, that improve software optimization and propulsion calibration of the Hummer EV, while adding several hardware enhancements. This combination of changes results in an estimated 0 to 60 mph time of 2.8 seconds, two-tenths quicker than the standard setup.
The package also includes Magnus Gray Matte paint, a Velocity Ember interior, 22-inch Carbon Fiber Black painted aluminum wheels, a carbon fiber skid plate insert, and a few other items.
The Extreme Off-Road package just got this wheel swap.
The 2026 Hummer EV also gets a new infotainment system, but loses Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, it offers many new advanced safety features as standard, plus three new paint colors, including two matte finishes, and three new interior colors. The Autumn Matte paint color is no longer available, but never was.

All variants are equipped with four-wheel drive (4WD) as standard, as well as GM Super Cruise driver assistance technology and electronic four-wheel steering with CrabWalk mode. Range per charge is estimated at 316 miles for the Pickup 2X and 363 miles for the Pickup 3X, while the SUV is rated at 319 miles for the 2X trim and 310 miles for the 3X trim.
As a reminder, GM battery and GM drive motor technology work together to produce propulsion. The 2X trim level comes with a dual motor setup and a 20-module battery. The 3X trim level receives a tri-motor setup with a 20-module battery, while a 24-module battery is also available on the Pickup. Output figures range from 570 horsepower in the 2X to 830 horsepower in the 3X, and even 1,000 horsepower with the 24-module battery. Both Hummer EV models use the GM BT1 platform.
For 2026, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup 2X and 3X trim levels get increased payload capacity – 1,760 and 1,600 pounds, respectively – and additional towing capacity – 12,100 and 10,600 pounds, respectively. However, the 2026 Hummer EV Pickup is missing the special MultiPro Tailgate option, namely the exception of the step lights.
