We’ve seen several limited edition Cadillac CT5-V Blackwings since the super sedan hit the market for the 2022 model year. However, at 26 units, the new F1 Collector Series Edition is the rarest of them all.
Unlike the previous special versions which were all appearance packages, the F1 Collector Series actually has more in terms of performance. Compared to the standard 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Edition produces a stronger 685 horsepower with 673 pound-feet of torque.

What’s more, all 26 Cadillac F1 Blackwings will be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
“The CT5-V Blackwing embodies Cadillac’s best performance on the track. With the F1 Collector Series, we channel the energy and innovation of Formula 1 into a road-ready sedan that feels as special as our entry into the sport,” said Mark Reuss, President of Cadillac parent General Motors. “Each of the 26 vehicles is curated to be the centerpiece of any collection and a true celebration of Cadillac’s new era in Formula 1.”
Cadillac says the power bump is “thanks to an upgraded supercharger, developed in collaboration with GM Motorsports,” a fitting component for a model inspired by the luxury brand’s latest motorsport conquest. This should reassure those of us who previously criticized the automaker for releasing limited edition models that, for the most part, only featured cosmetic upgrades that didn’t actually improve the vehicle’s performance.
And, since Cadillac went with a better blower instead of just boosting the stock setup, we can assume that the power increase has more impact than just peak numbers. In other words, it is likely that the entire rev range has been increased.
Other highlights of the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series include the exclusive Midnight Stone Frost exterior finish along with Carbon Flash Metallic wheels, Harbor Gray Metallic brake calipers, and Switchblade Silver stripes along the exterior carbon fiber components. There are also shiny black badging, monochrome Cadillac emblems, and F1 and FIA logos scattered throughout the vehicle.

Pricing hasn’t been announced, but that’s probably irrelevant since – if you’re lucky enough to find one – whatever unit is available will likely be standard with a hefty dealer markup.
