Cadillac has launched another special edition of its supercharged sports sedan, this time linking the CT5-V Blackwing directly to its long-awaited Formula 1 debut. The 2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series takes the wraps off ahead of the Crypto.com Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, marking the brand’s inaugural home race as a constructor with a run limited to just 26 units.
The production figures are not arbitrary. Cadillac is launching its first F1 entry in the current 2026 season, and every car in the series lives up to that milestone. The automaker is positioning the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series as the most powerful Blackwing ever made, an improvement on a formula that has seen several limited variants in recent years.
Mark Reuss, President of General Motors, described the car as a performance statement and a symbolic bridge to motorsports. “The CT5-V Blackwing embodies the best of Cadillac’s track capabilities,” said Reuss. “With the F1 Collector Series, we channel the energy and innovation of Formula 1 into a track-ready sedan that feels special as we enter the world of the sport.”

Visually, Cadillac leans towards a monochromatic theme. The exterior wears Midnight Stone Frost paint, offset by Carbon Flash Metallic rims and Harbor Gray brake calipers. The Switchblade Silver’s carbon fiber trim and sleek lines reinforce its track-focused intentions. Branding plays a central role, with the F1 and FIA logos stamped, engraved or embossed on a variety of surfaces, including doors, spoilers, seat headrests and even the supercharger cover.
Mechanical changes push output to 685 horsepower and 673 pound-feet of torque from the familiar supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4. Cadillac touts an improved supercharger developed with GM Motorsports. Notably, the car is offered exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, retaining a configuration that is increasingly rare in its segment.

Each example also includes the Precision Package, positioning this as the most track-focused iteration of the CT5-V Blackwing to date. Production begins in mid-2026 for the US and Canada, although only 26 units are planned, availability is only symbolic.
Cadillac’s strategy is clear. The CT5-V Blackwing remains a canvas for low-volume experimentation and brand storytelling, even as the industry shifts to electrification. The F1 Collector Series doesn’t reinvent the formula, but rather sharpens it with time and context that aligns with Cadillac’s next chapter.
