General Motors has just officially unveiled the interior design of its all-new 2027 Chevy Sonic crossover, one week after the world debut of Chevrolet’s new entry-level utility vehicle.
The automaker’s powerhouse brand unveiled the interior design of its all-new 2027 Chevy Sonic crossover, revealing the first official images of the cabin of Chevrolet’s new “SUV coupe.” The company states that the cabin of the 2027 Sonic crossover is designed to offer a balanced environment with a selection of elements that highlight the sporty character and technology of the vehicle.
“In terms of the interior, which has now been officially revealed, the new Sonic stands out for its uniquely designed cabin volume, designed to balance space for up to five passengers, both front and rear, while also accommodating luggage with a capacity of around 400 liters,” said Chevrolet Brazil. “Horizontal lines on the dashboard visually expand the cabin and reinforce the high-tech atmosphere,” the brand added.
The interior design of the new 2027 Chevy Sonic crossover shares most of its functional elements with the recently updated second-generation Chevy Onix, the vehicle on which it is based mechanically and structurally, and shares a manufacturing plant. Therefore, the Sonic 2027 uses the same dashboard design, virtual cockpit, door panels and control buttons as the popular subcompact car, but adds some new and exclusive accents.
For example, at least on the top-end RS, the interior of the 2027 Chevy Sonic crossover features an all-black finish with soft-touch materials in key contact areas – including a unique embroidered trim piece on the dash. It also features unique details like an updated Chevy logo on the steering wheel with piano black accents and an ambient lighting system, as well as ‘premium’ seats with more cushioning inherited from the Chevy Tracker.
The all-new 2027 Chevy Sonic crossover will be officially launched in Brazil next week and will be available for sale at dealers starting Thursday, May 7.th. The 2027 Sonic marks the Bowtie brand’s first foray into the growing entry-level crossover segment based on the popular hatchback passenger car, a highly sought-after segment in South America and other regions around the world.
