Last week, we showed you detailed photos of the exterior of a 2027 GMC Sierra Pro prototype. Today, we have photos of the interior of the same truck.

Even though most of the 2027 GMC Sierra Pro’s interior is covered in purpose-built camouflage to prevent us from seeing all the intricate details, we can still see a few key elements. For example, there are two screens – one for the instrument cluster and the other for the center stack display – both of which are decidedly modern and of a decent size. In comparison, the Sierra Pro currently uses a very small seven-inch display and has since the T1 generation was introduced in 2019.

While most of the center stack display isn’t covered by camouflage, we can’t confirm its size and orientation, but we do see a large volume knob between the gauge cluster and the center display.
We’d be very surprised if GM moved the hard buttons for simple controls like HVAC and other major functions to the screen. After all, this is a work truck that is often used by those wearing gloves, a use case that is usually best used with physical buttons.

It’s also worth noting that the display seen on this tester is different from the one used for the spy 2027 Sierra AT4 prototype we captured earlier this year, unofficially confirming that the next-gen 2027 Sierra will continue to feature at least two different dashboard/screen layouts. As a reminder, the current-generation Sierra is offered with three dash/screen configurations – one for the Pro, a second for the SLE, SLT and Elevation, and a third for the ATX, AT4X, Denali and Denali Ultimate.
The gauge cluster, aka the instrument panel, is covered in mesh camo, but the display definitely appears digital, similar to a significant change from the analog six-gauge cluster found in the current Sierra Pro.

While we didn’t see any further details on either screen, these spy images make it clear that the interior of the 2027 GMC Sierra Pro is no longer a penalty box when it comes to its dashboard and screens.
A few other elements to note: the steering wheel on this tester appears to be the same as the one on the 2027 Sierra AT4 prototype mentioned above, which was sourced from Sierra EV. And unsurprisingly, this Pro model doesn’t have the Super Cruise indicator bar on the top of the steering wheel.

We can also see a digital column shifter in the interior of the 2027 GMC Sierra Pro. It’s the same as the one found on the Sierra EV and 27 Sierra AT4 prototypes we caught earlier – also a notable change from the old-school column shifter used on the current Pro.
Additionally, we get a glimpse of the rearview mirror – which appears to be a thin, manually adjustable day/night unit, compared to the thicker Rear View Mirror. Additionally, the A-pillar grip appears to have been improved by eliminating the two bolt access/mounting holes seen on the current truck. And while we can’t see it in these images, we’re expecting a revamped upper console with a visor compartment.
The 2027 GMC Sierra will get a new exterior design, new interior, two new GM Gen 6 Small Block V8 engines – one 5.7L and the other 6.6L. The baby Duramax turbo-diesel engine will remain, while the TurboMax will receive power and torque upgrades. There will be plenty of other changes and improvements, so check out our previous coverage if you want to find out more here: GMC Sierra News.
