The upcoming Cadillac Escalade-V 2023 will be the meanest SUV to grace the lineup of the luxury marque. While it hasn’t been revealed in full yet, Cadillac Global Vice President Rory Harvey says it’s definitely going to be interesting.
During a recent presentation to the media attended by Cadillac SocietyHarvey is excited to talk about his experiences with the upcoming high-performance luxury SUV.
“I’ve had the privilege of riding the Escalade-V through the various phases of its development and it’s been absolutely amazing,” he said. “This is one of those people who can’t help but smile on your face while driving.”

We already knew the Escalade-V would be a force to be reckoned with. Full specifications will be announced on May 11th, but sources tell us to expect the ultra-high-performance SUV to make at least 640 horsepower. That number isn’t too big to believe – after all, the Escalade-V will be powered by the same supercharged V8 engine (production code LT4) as the one under the hood of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. .

Cadillac Society has overseen the Escalade-V during its development. Back in mid-2019, we exclusively reported that the fifth-generation Escalade would eventually be offered in a high-performance variant. This was confirmed by Cadillac chief engineer Tony Roma in early 2021. Shortly after, we saw a disguised prototype undergoing real-world testing, which confirmed that the Escalade-V would not only be offered as a regular-length model, but also as an extended model. long ESV variant.

Since then, we’ve spied on more Escalade-V prototypes in public, and were even lucky enough to hear what they sound like under wide open throttle. Recently, we got up close and personal with the ruthless engine and took some footage of what the exhaust sounds like when it starts up.
As soon as the specifications of the Cadillac Escalade-V are revealed, we’ll give you the full details. Meanwhile, subscribe Cadillac Society for the latest Cadillac Escalade news and round-the-clock Cadillac news coverage. We also invite you to join the latest discussions on our Cadillac forums.
