All-Electric 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ Revealed, Reimagining Escalade

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ has been a long time coming, and Cadillac Society has kept the luxury EV SUV in our sights right from the beginning, when we were the first to report that the team was looking to achieve at least 400 miles of range. After that, we uncovered the trademark filing for the nameplate back in 2021. Since then, we’ve spotted a prototype of the electric luxury SUV undergoing testing, shortly after a teaser was released by the luxury marque itself. Now, the veil has finally been pulled off, and the Escalade IQ has been officially revealed.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ was built from the ground up to answer the need for a full-size SUV with unparalleled electric performance and range. Riding on the BT1 platform that was purpose-built to underpin large electric SUVs, the Escalade IQ features Ultium Drive motors and Ultium batteries. The 200 kWh 24-module battery pack is capable of producing 450 miles of range on a single charge.

The electric propulsion system harnesses a two-motor eAWD configuration good for up to 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque with the Velocity Max drive mode activated. Not only does that allow for a zero to 60 mph time of just under 5 seconds, it can also handle 8,000 pounds of towing capacity.

Independent front and rear suspension joins up with Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Adaptive Air Ride Suspension, along with Four-Wheel Steer as exclusively reported by Cadillac Society not too long ago. The latter reduces the Escalade IQ’s turning radius to 39.4 feet, allowing for greater maneuverability in tight spaces such as parking spaces. Available Cadillac Arrival Mode enables the Escalade IQ to move diagonally, allowing it to pull into or out of tight spaces. The luxury electric SUV rides on either a set of 24-inch wheels wrapping 35 inch tires.

Charging is performed via 800-volt DC fast charging capabilities, which can accumulate up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes of charging. There’s also Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality, allowing the Escalade IQ to provide power for a properly equipped home in the event of a power outage, though the feature will be added via over-the-air (OTA) updates later on. Super Cruise, the luxury marque’s semi-autonomous driver assist feature, is also standard on the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, along with a three-year complimentary plan.

All that tech is wrapped in an all-new outer shell, borrowing some design elements from the current internal combustion Escalade while giving it a completely new face to set it apart from its gasoline counterparts. The Escalade IQ retains the same upright motif that’s become synonymous with the iconic nameplate, while featuring a much sleeker profile with a sloping roof compared to the “regular” Escalade powered by internal combustion engines. Notably, the wheels have been pushed further into the corners of the vehicle, lending the vehicle a lower, more aggressive ride height, while an elongated hood allows for aerodynamic efficiency.

Inside, the Cadillac Escalade IQ certainly doesn’t disappoint, featuring a generous pillar-to-pillar 55-inch curved screen, which features the instrument cluster behind the steering. Infotainment features (with Google built in) follow on the central part of the large scree, while a fixed glass roof provides a panoramic view. An immersive, 360-degree AKG audio system with 40 speakers is available.

2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ with available Executive Second-Row Seating package

All 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ models feature captain’s chairs for the second row. An available Executive Second-Row Seating package adds stowable tray tables, 12.6-inch-diagonal personal screens, a rear command center screen, dual wireless phone charging pads, USB-C and HDMI ports, massaging seats and headrest speakers.

Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ starts at a cool $130,000, including destination and freight charges. It’s worth noting that this is for the 2025 model, which will only be available in a relatively well-equipped configuration. Production will commence in summer 2024 at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant in Michigan, now known as Factory Zero.
