The 2027 Chevy Traverse will bring a new set of rolling stock to Chevy’s 3-row crossover lineup, as General Motors prepares to introduce five new wheel designs for the upcoming model year. According to GM Authority Source, the updated wheel lineup will affect trims including the Traverse Z71, High Country, and RS, while the LT trim will apparently retain its current standard wheel design. Unfortunately, as of this writing, there are no photos of the new wheel design available.
22 inch High Gloss Black (RUH) aluminum rims
New wheel options include 18-inch High Gloss Black-painted machine-face aluminum wheels (code RPO RT4), 20-inch Carbon Flash Metallic machine-face (RTG) aluminum wheels, 20-inch High Gloss Black (SN6) machine-face aluminum wheels (SN6), 22-inch High Gloss Black (RRG) machine-face aluminum wheels (RRO), and 22-inch High Gloss Black (RRG) painted aluminum wheels.
This design will replace some of the existing wheels offered on the 2026 model. Outgoing options include 18-inch High Gloss Black painted machined face (PXW) aluminum wheels, 20-inch High Gloss Black (SLV) painted machined face aluminum wheels, 20-inch High Gloss Black (Q9P) machined face aluminum wheels, 22-inch High Gloss Black machined face (RVD) aluminum wheels, and 22-inch machined face aluminum wheels (RUH) High Gloss Black 22 inches.

While Chevrolet hasn’t released images of the new wheel designs, the changes suggest the automaker is making subtle visual updates to keep the Traverse lineup competitive without introducing a full redesign. The strategy is in line with other updates that have been confirmed for the 2027 model year.
As GM Authority As previously reported, the 2027 Chevy Traverse will also introduce two new exterior paint colors: Trillium Green Metallic (color code GTM) and Twilight Blue (G46). Production is currently scheduled to begin on June 29, 2026 at GM Lansing Delta Township Assembly, where GM builds the Traverse alongside the Buick Enclave.
The current-generation Chevy Traverse launched for the 2024 model year with revised styling, a turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 engine, and significantly upgraded in-cabin technology. For 2027, Chevy appears focused on refining the formula rather than rewriting it.
