About the GMC Sierra EV
The 2026 GMC Sierra EV debuts the entry-level Elevation and off-road-ready AT4 trim levels. The AT4 comes with several off-road upgrades, including two inches of additional ground clearance, standard four-wheel steering with CrabWalk, and 35-inch all-terrain tires. However, the AT4 lacks this important off-road feature.

The 2026 lineup gets the GMC Digital Key, which will be activated via an over-the-air (OTA) update.
Additionally, the 2026 model offers a series of factory packages, and expands MultiPro Midgate to more trims. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system is standard on the AT4 and Denali trims, while the Adaptive Air Ride suspension is available on the top two Denali trims.
The 2026 Sierra EV now offers a ton of new accessories.
It also gets three battery capacity options. DC fast charging up to 350 kW is optional, adding approximately 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
The Sierra EV uses a narrow-body variant of the GM BT1 platform, while a GM battery and GM drive motor provide the motivation. Every trim comes standard with four-wheel drive and a dual-motor electric powertrain. The 2026 model year introduces several range improvements over the previous year. Standard Range includes an EPA-estimated 283 miles between plug-ins, while Extended Range is estimated at 390 to 410 miles, and Max Range offers up to 478 miles.
As for performance, the top-spec Max Range Denali produces 760 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. Maximum towing is 12,500 pounds, while payload capacity is 2,250 pounds.
