The 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 debuts with minor changes and updates for the 2025 model year. Here’s everything that’s new and different.
The Elevation trim level gets these significant ordering changes along with the new Elevation Select Package, which offers great value. Across the lineup, the 2026 Sierra gets reduced MultiPro Tailgate availability.
The 2026 Sierra offers new paint colors, but the previously available Titanium Rush Metallic is no longer available to order. Volcanic Red Tintcoat is also no longer available to order.

As before, powertrain options for the 2026 model include a TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B turbocharged petrol engine, a 5.3L V8 L84 naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 6.2L V8 L87 naturally aspirated petrol engine, and, finally, a Duramax 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel engine. The 2026 Sierra 1500 can tow up to 13,300 pounds.

The current manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 ranges from $41,095 to $89,305. This includes a destination delivery charge (DFC) of $2,795. Here are the prices with options and plans.

2027 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 camouflage prototype
The all-new 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 is expected to debut soon after the next-generation Chevy Silverado 1500, with both trucks launching new generations for their respective nameplates. In addition to exterior styling and interior technology, the next-generation pickup will also feature GM’s new Gen 6 Small Block V8 family in two sizes – 5.7L and 6.6L iterations – and a potential hybrid variant, but which hybrid engine should it go for? Additionally, the Duramax turbodiesel engine will be capable of a 1,000-mile range for the first time. And the 2.7L TurboMax engine will get more power.
Here’s what to know and expect about the new machine. Additionally, the 2027 model will get this new transmission feature. It’s worth noting that the next-generation truck will be built on an evolved version of the GM T1 platform.
Other highlights include a quad-tipped exhaust finish and a new sliding rear window design, while the 2027 Sierra will get a new flat-bottom steering wheel along with additional in-vehicle screens for passengers – a first for the automaker and the Sierra nameplate. Additionally, the new spy shop may indicate that the fog lights could double as cornering lights, and suggest that the truck will finally get a panoramic sunroof.
Additionally, a Sierra Denali offering with a factory lift is being considered to join the AT4 and AT4X off-roaders.

GM has confirmed that the 2027 Chevy Silverado and 2027 GMC Sierra will debut this year, especially since employees and dealers are already getting a glimpse of the all-new trucks.
Production of the new 2027 model is scheduled to begin this October.
