The discount offer of the Cadillac Escalade is once again absent in April 2022. That means that the luxury brand isn’t offering any incentives for buying this month’s popular full-size luxury SUV. In fact, it’s now more than a year since Cadillac last offered incentives at the Escalade, as the last time a discount offer was available was in February 2021.

The lack of a discounted offer for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade in April 2022, and in the months preceding it, is a direct result of very high demand for the Escalade. The full-size luxury SUV continues to dominate its competitive segment with a 50 percent share in Q4 2021. Additionally, the global shortage of microchips has resulted in vehicle production being stalled, resulting in an industry-wide shortage of new vehicle inventories.
The low supply, high demand scenario has prompted some dealers to demand “fair market value” and have charged more than the MSRP for the new Escalade, sometimes asking for as much as $25,000 or even $30,000 above the sticker price in some scenarios. Cadillac’s parent company General Motors recently warned dealers against this kind of behavior.
Despite all this, the Cadillac Escalade continues to dominate its competitive segment. Then it can be assumed that luxury brands don’t need to offer discounted Cadillac Escalades because consumers are likely to buy luxury SUVs even if they are expensive.
