A stunning white 2019 Cadillac CT6 Platinum featuring an eight-cylinder Blackwing engine and Super Cruise recently appeared for sale at a dealership in Florida.
The inclusion of these two features makes this CT6 Platinum very rare. Coated with Crystal White Tricoat paint paired with a light-colored interior, this model appears to be in excellent condition with just 30,500 miles on the odometer.
As we mentioned, what sets this particular CT6 apart is the inclusion of Super Cruise, Cadillac’s semi-autonomous driver assistance feature that allows hands-free highway driving on select highways in the United States and Canada. This feature uses a variety of sensors and onboard cameras, including visual cameras, LiDar mapping, GPS information, and radar to control braking and acceleration on compatible roads.
Under the hood of this Cadillac CT6 is a twin-turbocharged 4.2L V8 Blackwing (LTA production code). It’s only offered for the 2019 and 2020 model years for the CT6 Platinum, where it makes 500 horsepower and 574 pound-feet of torque, and the CT6-V, where it makes 550 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque.
Some Blackwing engines are still available through the luxury parts catalog, but are offered as “service replacement parts” to replace a faulty engine rather than as a crate motor. This twin-turbocharged powerplant under the hood of this CT6 Platinum bolts to the luxury marque’s 10-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to the ground via an all-wheel-drive system.
Stumbling across a Cadillac CT6 featuring Blackwing and Super Cruise engines is rare, as not many were produced, although the exact number is unknown. Asking price is around $71,750 according to vehicle online listwhich seems fair for a rare vehicle like this, especially considering the Cadillac CT6 for the North American market was discontinued in February 2020.
