The SAIC-GM General Motors joint venture in China has just officially launched the second generation 2026 Cadillac XT5 with new paint colors and promotional prices in the Asian country.

The automaker unveiled the updated second-generation 2026 Cadillac XT5 for the Chinese domestic market, the only country in the world where Cadillac’s redesigned internal combustion midsize crossover is currently produced and sold. The 2026 XT5 range now gets new body colors and more competitive promotional pricing, aimed at increasing its appeal to Chinese customers.

In particular, the 2026 Cadillac XT5 introduces a new color called Dongli Gray, which provides a special treatment. Cadillac states that the new paint has been refined through a 12-coat precision spraying process, resulting in a highly durable matte metallic finish. This new matte gray joins the model’s five existing colors: Obsidian Black, McKinley White, Manhattan Grey, Medog Green, and Sayram Blue.

Additionally, the updated 2026 Cadillac XT5 for the Chinese market also received a limited-time promotional price reduction, restoring the competitive appeal it enjoyed when the updated crossover was launched last September. The 2026 XT5 is now on sale at a base price of 229,900 yuan for the entry-level version, a price that will be available throughout the spring.

Mechanically, the 2026 Cadillac It’s paired with a GM nine-speed automatic transmission as the only option. Additionally, the 2026 XT5 offers an upgraded all-wheel drive system as standard equipment, starting with the Luxury trim.

The upgraded second generation Cadillac XT5 is now available for sale at authorized Cadillac dealers in China, produced exclusively for the local market. Customers who purchase units this spring will receive a variety of financing incentives and special ownership benefits. Following are the starting prices for the 2026 XT5 in the Chinese market:
- 2026 XT6 Metropolitan: 229,900 yuan (approximately $33,450 USD at current exchange rates)
