One year after the alliance between Cadillac and Dolby Laboratories was made official, General Motors announced that the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ will launch Dolby Atmos audio technology in Mexico.

The automaker just announced that Dolby Atmos immersive audio technology is now available in Mexico on the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ. The all-electric full-size SUV introduces this premium feature in the Latin American country, further enhancing the premium surround sound experience of Cadillac vehicles. This new offering is delivered through OnStar, advancing the evolution of GM’s in-car technology and entertainment.

“At GM, we are focused on delivering solutions that change the way people experience their vehicles,” said Director of Global Customer Connectivity Experience and OnStar in Mexico, Yammil Guida. “The arrival of Dolby Atmos in Cadillac, via OnStar connectivity, is a clear example of how we are bringing cutting-edge technology and continuing to elevate the inflight experience, integrating innovation and entertainment, now for those seeking the best audio quality,” he added.

The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ Electric is the first Cadillac and GM vehicle to introduce Dolby Atmos audio technology integrated into the luxury AKG Studio sound system in the Mexican market. These software-based audio enhancements allow music to be heard with greater depth, separation and precision, creating a three-dimensional experience where every sound is experienced with more realism throughout the cabin.

Therefore, Dolby Atmos is integrated with the AKG Studio audio system in the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ to deliver superior in-vehicle sound quality. The combination of custom hardware, advanced audio processing and seamless connectivity transforms the interior of Cadillac’s flagship electric SUV into an immersive, detailed music and entertainment experience that can satisfy even the most discerning customers.

All 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ units now come standard with Dolby Atmos audio technology in Mexico, where this feature will later be integrated into other EV models via automatic software updates. To enjoy this service, users need to subscribe to a streaming platform that offers Dolby Atmos music, as well as a current data plan with OnStar.
