The debut of the next-generation Chevy Silverado 1500 is right around the corner, and GM will unveil a slew of updates for its light pickup. As you expected, GM Authority has been following developments on the upcoming 2027 Silverado since the beginning, releasing plenty of spy photos and exclusive details along the way. Now we give you a preview of the upcoming 2027 Chevy Silverado RST with the renderings below.

Based on previous GM Authority spy photos and an official design patent published last year, our new renderings take a look at what’s in store for the sporty side of the Silverado lineup. From the front, our 2027 Chevy Silverado RST adopts a significantly redesigned fascia with a high-brow lighting setup. Slim DRL lights are positioned along the top edge of the front end, while the main headlight units are now mounted lower in the bumper area. This split headlight configuration reflects a broader design direction seen across the Chevrolet portfolio.
Compared to the current Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the next-generation truck’s surface styling is much more pronounced, with sharper creases and more sculpted hood and fender treatments. The RST trim, as expected, replaces traditional chrome accents with body-colored elements (especially on the front and rear bumpers), resulting in a cleaner, more monochromatic look.

Additional details include fog lights mounted on the outer edges of the front bumper, as well as redesigned rear-view mirrors that incorporate horizontal lighting elements. Notably, these renderings do not include help steps, although help steps will be offered on the production model.
Moving to the rear, we find a new taillight design with updated internal graphics and a more modern signature. The rear door shown here is the standard configuration, although the Multi-Flex rear door is expected to remain available for the production 2027 Chevy Silverado.

The side profile shows the wheel design already seen on the current model, namely Painted aluminum with machined surfaces and Grazen Painted pockets (RPO code NZN). Side-exit exhausts are pictured in this rendering, although the production variant will offer quad exhaust outlets with certain engine options. We also removed the roof-mounted shark fin antenna, resulting in a cleaner roofline. As discussed previously, GM may integrate the antenna system elsewhere in the vehicle, perhaps within the glass or body structure.
Overall, the 2027 Chevy Silverado will be big upgrades, from exterior, interior, powertrain, and GM Authority will be there every step of the way.
