2027 Chevy Blazer EV Gets These Paint Color Changes

Posted on

In addition to the addition of a NACS charging port, the 2027 Chevy Blazer EV introduces a series of small but important updates to its exterior color palette. These changes are limited in scope, but reflect ongoing efforts to refine the model’s visual identity as it deepens its life cycle.

The most immediate change comes to Galaxy Gray Metallic (GJY), which will be discontinued after the 2026 model year. A muted gray color has been part of the Blazer EV lineup since its launch in 2024. For 2027, it is replaced by White Sands (G42), a lighter, warmer color (shown below on the Silverado EV) that shifts the vehicle’s appearance toward a brighter presentation. Like Galaxy Gray Metallic, White Sands will be offered on the LT and RS trims, but won’t be available on the top-end SS.

Roof color choices also see customization. Summit White roof (RPO code 09T) removed from order sheet. The option previously allowed buyers to pair a lighter upper with a darker body color, creating a more traditional two-tone effect. Its removal simplifies the available combinations. The Black painted roof (RPO 41T) remains in place and continues to serve as a key contrasting option. It remains optional on the LT and standard on the RS and SS trims.

For RS buyers who prefer a more uniform appearance, Chevrolet will still offer a two-tone roof delete (RPO PDR) option. This configuration eliminates the contrasting black roof entirely, resulting in a single-color exterior.

Overall, these updates represent a tightening of the 2027 Chevy Blazer EV’s visual lineup rather than a broad redesign. GM appears to be prioritizing clarity in trim differentiation and reducing overlap in aesthetic choices. While the changes are gradual, they affect how each trim level looks on the road, which remains a key factor in the competitive electric crossover segment.
