About the Chevrolet Silverado EV

The 2026 Chevy Silverado EV arrives as the third model year of the first-generation all-electric pickup truck, which introduced the off-road-ready Trail Boss trim level featuring 35-inch all-terrain tires, a 24 percent increase in ground clearance and other unique suspension upgrades. Meanwhile, the sporty RST trim level that was initially discontinued actually returns for the 2026 model year. Notably, both trims lack an important feature – a spare tire.

The 2026 model also gets a Y-shaped trim structure. The Work Truck (WT) is the entry-level trim, and the well-equipped LT trim and rugged Trail Boss trim are the same price when equipped with the same battery pack. However, the LT has a lower base price than the Trail Boss because the Trail Boss doesn’t offer a Standard Range battery pack.

Regarding the Work Truck (WT), GM is offering a new aesthetic upgrade dubbed the Silverado EV Custom for the 2026 model year. However, the WT trim loses Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Notably, the 2026 Silverado EV gets this cost-effective cosmetic makeover.

The 2026 Silverado EV gets two new appearance packages and three new paint colors.

Here are all the 2026 Chevy Silverado EVs:

The 2026 lineup should offer the Chevrolet Digital Key, activated in December via an over-the-air (OTA) update. However, it won’t get a Digital Lock at all. Battery-powered trucks also lose this rear door option for 2026.

As a reminder, the Silverado EV uses a narrow-body variant of the GM BT1 platform, while a GM battery and GM drive motor provide the motivation. The dual-motor setup delivers up to 510 horsepower and 580 pound-feet of torque for the WT trim; up to 760 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque for LT and RST; and up to 725 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque for the Trail Boss. Its towing capacity is up to 12,500 pounds with a payload capacity of up to 2,350 pounds.

Current manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) for the 2026 Chevy Silverado EV range from $55,395 to $89,195, although RST pricing is not yet available. This includes a destination delivery charge (DFC) of $2,595. Here are the prices with options and plans.

An online configurator tool is available for the 2026 Silverado EV.

For 2026, the Silverado EV receives a maximum driving range increase. Previously, GM set a driving distance record with the Chevy Silverado EV, achieving an impressive EPA-estimated maximum range of 492 miles on the base WT trim with the Max Range battery pack. Recently, GM drove a Silverado EV 1,000 miles on a single charge.

The Chevy Silverado EV RST trim level will return in 2026 as the exclusive RST Stars & Steel Special Edition, a limited production model celebrating America’s 250th.th annual commemoration. The Bow Tie Brand has just added a Star & Armor Appearance Package.
