Lola Cars builds some of the most powerful and iconic race cars in motorsport history. The company’s cars have propelled racers to victory in various series, including three Indianapolis 500 wins. Lola went out of business in 2012, bounced back in 2022, and now produces one of the most famous race cars ever—the T70.
Lola makes two versions, the T70S and T70S GT. One for the track, and one for the road. Lola only built 16 cars, calling the T70S and T70S GT “the rebirth of a motorsport icon.”
This road-going GT has a 6.2-liter V8 engine from Chevrolet. It produces 500 horsepower, giving the car a top speed of 200 miles per hour and a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds. The T70S GT also features climate control, storage solutions and a special gearbox designed for the road.
The track version had a Chevy 5.0-liter V8 producing 530 hp, a period-correct transaxle, and a double-wishbone suspension system. It has a top speed of 203 mph, can sprint to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, and is equipped with an FIA Historic Technical Passport, allowing it to compete in FIA-sanctioned events.
The new T70S and T70S GT were developed using original archive images. Lola has re-engineered every component and used environmentally friendly materials and advanced manufacturing processes to create the new car.
