- This car started life as a standard 2022 BMW M4 Competition before transforming into a Ute.
- There are only 7,500 miles on the odometer.
- The asking price is $145,000.
The BMW M4 Competition certainly provides a driving sensation that matches the Ultimate Driving Machine tagline. However, one owner thought the car was capable of heavier lifting, and converted the coupe into… a two-door truck.
More specifically, it would be classified as a ute. What is a ute? Think El Camino, Ranchero, or any of the many great offerings so beloved by our Australian friends. A ute is usually any form of car-based pickup truck.
The build comes from DinMann, which makes carbon fiber parts for many BMW models. This particular project is dubbed the M4 Maloo. And you can buy it—the owner wants $145,000 for his truck.
This M4 features more than just its stunning body transformation. According to Instagram post above, the BMW has also been equipped with an upgraded turbo, carbon fiber intake manifold, and upgraded exhaust.

Despite the high asking price, this car is truly impressive. The bone stock BMW M4 Competition xDrive produces 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. This one should earn more than that.
Factor in the lightness of the truck conversion, the xDrive AWD system, and its upgrades, and this M4 Ute is likely capable of 0-60 mph well below the three-second mark. This number will increase if you transport the wood back from Home Depot.
Motor Pickup1: Unique shapes like the BMW M4 always attract our attention. This one seems to be very well made with clever upgrades and great styling. The asking price is definitely high, but you likely won’t find anything else on the street.
BMW should start building it for the Australian market.
