The 2027 model year ushers in a series of important updates to the C8 lineup, including the introduction of a new C8 Grand Sport model variant, as well as the launch of a new Small Block 6.7L LS6 V8. However, in addition to those major changes, GM also made some minor (but meaningful) changes to the 2027 Corvette’s exterior. Among them are a series of finishes and a revised exhaust tip configuration, as highlighted here.

As previously discussed, one of the key changes implemented on the 2027 Corvette is the expanded availability of a mid-mounted quad exhaust system. Designated RPO code WUB, the quad center exhaust was previously limited to the higher-performance C8 variants (Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X), but now this setup is available as an option on the C8 Stingray and C8 Grand Sport for an additional $1,995. The center exit system moves the exhaust from the corners of the bumper to the center, visually aligning this trim with the Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X, which include a center exhaust layout as standard.
In terms of finishing, the 2027 Corvette also adopts Black exhaust tips (code RPO NGA) as standard equipment in all configurations. This marks a departure from previous years’ models, where bright stainless steel tips were included as standard and black tips were offered as an extra-cost option.

For buyers looking for a more traditional look, Bright exhaust tips (code RPO NWI) remain an available option, and are now offered for an additional $395. However, there is one important requirement here, as selecting the Bright exhaust tips also requires the inclusion of a quad center exhaust system (RPO code WUB).
Overall, these updates give the 2027 Corvette a revised visual identity at the rear, while potentially aligning the lower trim more closely with the design language of GM’s top performance models. As a reminder, all C8 Corvette variants use the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place at GM’s Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.
