Chevy Tahoe, Suburban Custom Editions Selling Very Fast

Posted on

Customers are purchasing the 2026 Chevy Tahoe Custom Edition and 2026 Chevy Suburban Custom Edition at a high rate. According to sources familiar with the matter, the new units of the two Custom Edition SUVs will reportedly be sold in less than 10 days. This is a fast turnover rate for two already quite popular nameplates, underscoring the appeal of the new style-focused package. In fact, the Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban Custom Edition are now the fastest-selling sub-models in the nameplate.

For readers who may have missed it, the LS Custom Edition package is marked with the code RPO PCI, and is essentially a limited-run offering first released for the 2026 model year. Available exclusively for the LS trim level, this package effectively creates a “Custom” variant for both SUVs that is similar in spirit to the Chevy Silverado Custom, essentially enhancing the base model with new styling features. While the Tahoe and Suburban don’t officially offer a stand-alone Custom trim level, this new package fulfills that role by turning the standard LS into a more visually distinct product.

In terms of content, the LS Custom Edition is equipped with 22-inch Gloss Black wheels with black Chevy center caps (RPO code SMD), as well as content from the Dark Essentials package (RPO code PDC), including a black grille (RPO code RZB), black mirror caps (RPO code S4X, excluding vehicles finished in black), black exterior nameplates (RPO code RIK), and wheel locks (RPO code SFE). Together, these elements create a more cohesive dark look.

Also worth noting is the wheel design, which is also the same as a set of wheels offered for the Cadillac Escalade (code RPO SSX), although the Chevrolet wheels use Bow Tie center caps.

The new Custom Edition package is offered as a dealer-installed option (LPO level), with pricing set at $4,320. Notably, this package also includes a $1,600 discount, bringing the cost down to $2,720. For vehicles finished in Black (paint code GBA), the price is further reduced to $2,520 as it does not include black mirror caps.

Production of the LS Custom Edition SUV is set at 1,100 units across both nameplates, adding an element of exclusivity to the package. As a reminder, both SUVs use the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Arlington factory in Texas.
