’26 Chevy Tahoe, Suburban With New Roof Box Pkg: First Photo

The Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban are both renowned for their ability to carry a lot of stuff thanks to their fairly spacious cabins. Something similar happens with the new 2026 model year, with both full-size SUVs now offering a pair of new Adventure Packages that include a new roof storage solution. Now, GM Authority has the first photos of what’s on offer.

Cargo solutions for the 2026 Chevy Tahoe and 2026 Chevy Suburban.

The new packages offered for the 2026 Chevy Tahoe and 2026 Suburban are called Adventure Package 1 (RPO code RGN) and Adventure Package 2 (RPO code RGD), both of which offer unique roof-mounted storage solutions. More specifically, the Adventure Package 1 adds a roof-mounted Thule-branded basket with a cargo net, while the Adventure Package 2 swaps the basket for a fully enclosed cargo box mounted on the roof.

The cargo box sits securely atop a set of black roof rack cross rails, providing an efficient, weather-protected storage solution ideal for snow gear, suitcases or random road trip necessities. The box has a relatively low aerodynamic shape, which minimizes wind resistance while maximizing storage capacity.

Meanwhile, baskets have a more open arrangement, using a durable mesh system to secure larger or irregularly shaped items, making them better suited for rugged outdoor use where quick access is a priority.

Beyond the roof storage system, both Adventure packages incorporate several features that enhance the style and experience inside the cabin, while enhancing the SUV’s utility. Highlights include the Convenience Package (RPO code Y55), second-row power bucket seats (RPO code ATN), the Max Trailering Package (RPO code NHT), and the All-Weather Liner Protection Package (RPO code RGJ). Additional exterior enhancements include a black front bow tie emblem (RPO code R88) and black roof rack cross rails (RPO code VQQ), the latter of which serves as a mounting point for the roof cargo solution.

The Adventure Package is available for the 2026 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban along with the LT, RST, and Z71 trims, but not the LS, Premier, or High Country trims. While an official MSRP hasn’t been released, the price of each feature included in the package suggests the grand total is likely to be several thousand dollars.
