No one likes to find out that their car has been recalled, but it is an important process to ensure the vehicles we drive are safe. So far this year, Hyundai has issued eight recalls for more than 1.1 million cars.
Hyundai’s biggest recall in 2026 involves one of its most popular models, the Palisade. In January, the automaker had to recall more than 568,000 previous-generation SUVs because side curtain airbags may not deploy properly.
Hyundai is also recalling the new Palisade because of a dangerous rear power seat that killed a child. The automaker even went so far as to issue a sales halt on the model while developing a solution to the problem.
Hyundai’s smallest recall involves just 27 electric vehicles. They have high voltage batteries that can catch fire.
