- The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser gets a high air intake.
- A base 1958 Lan Cruiser started at $59,380.
- The entire Land Cruiser lineup is $285 more expensive than last year’s model.
The new Toyota Land Cruiser ticks almost all the boxes—rugged styling, an excellent powertrain, and serious off-road capability. But until now, there was one key feature missing: a taller air intake. That changes for 2027.
For the new model year, Toyota added a raised air intake as a factory option. However, it should be noted that this is indeed true No Same with snorkels. Although snorkels are designed to improve water flow by sealing out moisture, these inlets are not watertight. Still, it looks cool and adds some functional benefits. This option cost $980 and was available on the 1958 base trim and standard Land Cruiser.
The 2027 Land Cruiser also introduces a new black paint color called Inked, as well as an available Premium package that brings heated and ventilated rear seats. The plan now costs $4,905—a $550 increase over last year.

Higher trims offer additional upgrades, including paint options priced between $350 and $475. In addition to the raised air intake and Premium package, buyers can also add a rear bumper protector and liftgate lights. Other available extras include 20-inch gray alloy wheels ($1,240), moonroof ($850), and console cooler ($170).
Fully loaded, the 2027 Land Cruiser can top the $73,000 mark.
Motorcycle Pickup1: Toyota is clearly leaning more towards the Land Cruiser’s off-road identity with the addition of a taller air intake. For buyers planning to venture off the beaten path, this is a relatively affordable upgrade that improves both form and function.
