GM displays thirty-seven identical 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 RST trucks on the main track of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on April 7thindicating that the month of May will soon arrive. The 500 Festival Event Vehicle tradition, unbroken since the 1960s, places these trucks on Indiana roads as moving billboards for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. Every Crew Cab Summit White 4WD packs a 5.3L V8 L84 engine producing 355 horsepower, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Body-colored bumpers, dark badging and 20-inch black-painted aluminum wheels give the RST a menacing look. Custom Indianapolis 500 graphics celebrate America’s 250th birthday with flag-inspired stripes and hidden Easter eggs. Fort Wayne Assembly, run by Hoosiers, builds each truck. “We are excited to release 33 of the 500 Festivals board members and 500 Festivals Daughters to serve as brand ambassadors,” said Dave Neff, president and CEO of 500 Festivals. “This is the crown jewel of our state.”

GM also unveiled the 2026 Chevy Corvette E-Ray as a second festival vehicle; a smaller fleet of twelve hybrid coupes were finished in the same Summit White. The E-Ray pairs a 6.2L V8 LT2 engine with an electric motor driving the front axle, producing a combined 655 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Carbon fiber wheels and Stealth trim set the E-Ray apart from the standard production model. “The tradition of providing Festival Event Vehicles is a hallmark of the countdown to May,” said Alyssa Haba, senior marketing manager for Chevrolet Motorsports. “Seeing these Silverados and Corvettes on the road will reflect the passion Chevrolet, IMS and the 500 Festival have for the Indianapolis 500.”

The E-Ray’s electric assistance offers a quiet run through suburban parades, a stark contrast to the Silverado’s rumbling V8. These models represent the diversity in Chevy’s lineup with something for everyone, whether shopping for a futuristic sports car, a traditional pickup, or anything in between. 110th The Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge takes place Sunday, May 24th.
