Model Blending Wrangler And Gladiator Teased For Jeep Easter Safari

[ad_1]

The latest teaser for the vehicle parts of the annual Jeep Easter Safari offers an interesting mystery as it mentions the mixing of two models: the Wrangler and Gladiator. The attached image does not reveal the answer to the secret.

According to Jeep:

Ever wondered what a mix of two mighty off-roaders like the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Gladiator would look like? What if a truck dared to become more like an SUV to increase its angle of departure? The new Jeep concept heading into this year’s Easter Jeep Safari recreates what the best of the terrain conquerors dared to do, providing four-wheel confidence galore and a little freedom in the open air.

If you take a look at the teaser image (above), you can catch a glimpse of what a cargo bed looks like at the back. Up front, a hood with a protruding spoon is visible, and there are vents along the sides. The suspension appears to be higher than stock, and the truck uses off-road capable tires. No door.

The notion that this is a truck with a better departure angle has us wondering if Jeep made a pickup similar to the CJ-8 Scrambler from the 1980s. The model took the existing CJ-7 and gave it a pretty small bed. The result is a vehicle with better maneuverability than a full-size pickup but with reduced carrying capacity.

Jeep has already teased three other vehicles for this year’s Easter Safari. The presentation for them is more mysterious than this Wrangler (or Gladiator). One shows the front of a blue Grand Cherokee with seemingly insignificant modifications.

Another teaser is just a partial QR code in Gladiator form. That one was even more of a mystery.

Jeep also seems to be teasing the 20th anniversary edition of the Wrangler Rubicon. A teaser shot from the hood only with the superscript “20” above the “Rubicon” logo. It also appears to have the 392nd coat of arms and the American flag on the front fender.

This year’s Jeep Easter Safari will run from April 9 to 17. We’ll probably get a few more teasers before then, but it’s not too long to wait to see what the brand is up to this year.
