Buick Average Transaction Price Up For 13th Straight Month

Prices for new Buicks increased last month, with average transaction prices (ATP) increasing along with broader price increases in the US auto market.

According to data collected by Kelley Blue Book and reported by Cox AutomotiveThe ATP for a new Buick rises to $36,888 in March 2026. That represents a 3.2 percent increase over March 2025, which saw a Buick ATP of $35,733. However, on a monthly basis, Buick prices fell 1.2 percent from the February 2026 figure of $37,351.

Taking GM’s broader US portfolio average, which includes the Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC brands, the transaction price increased to $53,474 in March 2026. This marks a 3.8 percent increase compared to the ATP of $51,521 in March 2025. Looking at the figures from February 2026, the ATP was recorded at $53,325, marking a 0.3 percent month-over-month increase.

Across the industry, new vehicle prices continue to increase. Overall US ATP rose 3.5 percent year over year to $49,275 in March, representing four consecutive months of annual price growth. This trend is largely related to continued consumer demand for higher-priced vehicles, particularly full-size pickups and SUVs. At the same time, March is the 12thth consecutive month in which the average manufacturer’s suggested retail price remained above $50,000, with MSRP increasing to $51,456.

Looking at individual vehicle segments, prices for full-size pickups recorded an average ATP of $65,964, up 2.8 percent from the previous year. Midsize SUVs also increased 2.8 percent, reaching $49,853. Compact SUVs cost $37,055 on average, representing a 2.1 percent increase, while subcompact SUVs cost $30,612, up 2.2 percent. Compact cars saw smaller growth, with ATP rising 1.1 percent to $27,469.

Incentive spending also increased last month, by an average of 7.2 percent of ATP. Overall, incentives increase month over month and year over year.

Lastly, the price of electric vehicles continues to decline. The report states that ATP for new electric vehicles fell 2.8 percent year-on-year last month, down to $54,508. This figure is also down 0.7 percent compared to February 2026. At the same time, incentives for electric vehicles increased, reaching 14.6 percent ATP, compared to 14.2 percent ATP in February 2026.
