Brand-New 2026 Buick Electra E7 PHEV Pre-Sale Period Opens

General Motors has just announced that it is now taking orders for the new 2026 Buick Electra E7 PHEV in China, following the official launch of Buick’s new crossover in January.

The automaker’s Chinese subsidiary announced that the pre-sales period for the 2026 Buick Electra E7 PHEV will open on April 10th in that country. The vehicle was developed exclusively for the Chinese market to meet the needs of local customers and compete with aggressive offerings of affordable next-generation models from other manufacturers. The five-seat 2026 Electra E7 is primarily aimed at young families with children.

“Buick today opened pre-sales for the all-new Electra E7, a five-seat plug-in hybrid SUV developed for families in China,” GM China said. “The Electra E7 is the first SUV from Buick’s new premium electrified sub-brand. It is built on the idea of ​​the ‘perfect cabin for kids,’ combining a long-range plug-in hybrid system with an emphasis on child health, comfort and intelligent driving support,” the brand added.

The new 2026 Buick Electra E7 PHEV is offered in three variants, including 1600 Full Package, 1600 Ultra Package, and 1600 Ultra Package Turbo. All are equipped with SAIC-GM’s “True Dragon Pro” plug-in hybrid powertrain, which is capable of delivering an incredible combined range of more than 1,600 km or 994 miles. The 2026 Electra E7 also comes standard with 42 class-leading comfort and convenience features.

Additionally, the 2026 Buick Electra E7 plug-in hybrid introduces Buick’s “Family-first” interior design concept, aimed at the growing number of young families in China who are increasingly using their vehicles as extensions of their homes. In this case, the Electra E7 is equipped with health-focused technologies, including an air purification system, eye care technology, as well as a highly flexible and comfortable second row, thanks to its anti-motion sickness chassis.

The new 2026 Buick Electra E7 PHEV can now be ordered through the official Buick dealer network in China.
