Ken Block Teases New Ram Truck Spec That Sounds, Looks Like A TRX

Rally racing pro Ken Block posted a teaser video to his social media previewing the specs of the new Ram debuting next week. Block shared a bit, revealing that the new pickup will be closing next Tuesday. Ram cheekily retweeted Block with an eye emoji and no other information.

The black-and-white video is incredibly short, showing Ram’s pickup donut carving into the ground with a giant clump of dust billowing into the air, perfect for National Donut Day. We didn’t get to see much, but it looks like the truck is a Ram 1500 TRX. The exhaust note, heard in the video, delivers. You can even hear the gurgling sound of the supercharger slipping through the V8’s raucous bellows. But beyond that, the video holds other truck secrets.

We reached out to Ram about the teaser to see if there was any more information to share. We’ll update the story if the company responds. Block says he has to test Ram’s “newest toy” in the desert. We’ll expect to learn more about Block’s land adventures when Ram reveals the new specs.

Another sign that this might be a TRX is the hood, which features a large bulge flanked by vents. The large air scoop on the hood is also seen in the video, making us wonder what the Ram is really planning.

The Ram 1500 TRX has become a capable off-roader, the dashing Ram is on par with the Ford F-150 Raptor. Not only did the Ram crammed a Hellcat V8 under the hood, but it also upgraded the suspension with wider tracks, Bilstein adaptive shock absorbers, new springs, and more, giving the pickup 13 inches of front and 14 inches of rear suspension travel with a 32-inch fording depth. .

Luckily, we won’t have to wait too long to find out what Ram is up to. The new truck specs will debut Tuesday, June 9, at 12 p.m. ET (9 a.m. PT). Could Ram somehow make TRX spicier? We’ll find out next week.
