Car fires can be scary for passengers and onlookers alike, but this particular fire must have been very intense. The skeletal remains of what you see above is a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, but without that information, even the best supercar scouts would have a hard time identifying this poor vehicle.
As far as we know, no one was injured in this fire. Thin information; we first saw it on Twister Garage The Facebook group, which identified the car as a rare SVJ Roadster. Not only that, it turns out the SVJ 63 Roadster with a production of only 63 vehicles. Other photos in the post appear to show the car before the fire broke out, along with an image of the car completely engulfed in flames.
According to the post, the incident occurred on January 24 between Cuernavaca and Chilpancingo in Mexico, south of Mexico City on the Cuernavaca-Acapulco highway. The information was supported by a Mexican news outlet 24 Morelos, who said the car caught fire and caught fire in the middle of the highway over the Mezcala Solidaridad suspension bridge. Adding a twist to the story, tweet from 24 Morelos said the Lambo was left abandoned to be burned.
Certainly very expensive fire. The SVJ alone is well over half a million dollars, with the Roadster even more expensive and that doesn’t take into account the extreme rarity of the 63. At least the crashed Ferrari Enzo we encountered last week is largely intact and potentially rebuildable. Unfortunately, this Lamborghini looks as if not a single part can be saved.
