You’ve probably heard of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition. It kind of leaked last week, and sort of, we mean Chevy accidentally published photos and information regarding the birthday model on its website. It wasn’t very long, but long enough to let the cat out of the bag. However, it turns out that the cat is not at all out of the bag.

Now, we have full official information on the birthday Corvette, and it’s not just the Z06 thing. Chevrolet will offer a 70th Anniversary Edition package on the Z06 as well as the Stingray model in 3LT trim. For the Z06, packages are offered on 3LZ cars, meaning you’ll never find the base model ‘Vette with the 70th Anniversary Package. You can have it with a coupe or convertible, but even if you uncheck the box for the package, every 2023 Corvette will have 70th Anniversary branding on the center speaker grille and rear window.

What makes this package special? In addition to the badge, the 70th Anniversary Edition adds a unique wheel with red edges and a birthday center cap. You’ll also get red brake calipers, rear bumper guard and trunk cover, and on the 2023 Corvette Stingray coupe, the package adds a red engine cover. There’s more red on the inside with contrast stitching and seat belts, while the seats are made of two-tone special Ceramic leather. Suede seat inserts and a suede steering wheel are included, and for travelers, there’s a special set of birthday branded luggage.

The Chevrolet Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition 2023 is only available in Carbon Flash Metallic or a new white color called White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat. The over-the-top line is optional and limited to gray on the white car or black on the carbon-painted ‘Vettes’.

“The passion for the Corvette runs deep at Chevrolet and this anniversary is especially special because of the excitement and sales success we’ve achieved with America’s iconic eighth-generation sports car,” said Chevrolet vice president of marketing Steve Majoros. “Even after 70 years, Corvettes still make hearts flutter and children dream of the open road.”

The first production Corvette Z06 C8 slated for auction at Barrett-Jackson will be the 70th Anniversary Edition. As for the rest, they will go on sale later this year but you can let your imagination run wild now by visualizer Z06 online, which has returned to the Chevrolet website.
