The 2027 Chevy Traverse arrives as the fourth model year for the third-generation three-row crossover, bringing only a few minor updates compared to the 2026 model. Naturally, one of those changes is the presence of new exterior color options. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look.
Chevy Traverse in Lakeshore Blue Metallic (GXP) paint
For the latest model year, the 2027 Chevy Traverse adds two new exterior finishes, namely Trillium Green Metallic (color code GTM) and Twilight Blue (color code G46). Availability varies by trim level, with Twilight Blue reserved exclusively for the upscale High Country and sporty RS trims, and not offered on the off-road-focused LT or Z71. Meanwhile, Trillium Green Metallic will be available across the trim level range, but availability is delayed for the Z71.
Photos of the Traverse in the new color options are not currently available. Both new 2027 Chevy Traverse paint options will be available at no additional cost. This new color will replace Stardust Metallic (color code GXK) and Lakeshore Blue Metallic (color code GXP), both of which were originally introduced with the launch of the third-generation Traverse for the 2024 model year.

As previously discussed, production of the 2027 Chevy Traverse is scheduled to begin on July 20th2026, at the GM Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant in Michigan. The order bank for the new model year will open on June 18th2026. This timing follows the end of production of the 2026 model year, which is currently scheduled to finish on July 17th. Please note that these dates are tentative and may change in the future.
Chevy Traverse in Stardust Metallic (GXK) paint
In terms of mechanical specifications, the 2027 Chevy Traverse still offers only one powertrain option, namely the 2.5L I4 LK0 turbocharged petrol unit. The four-cylinder engine is equipped with a GM eight-speed automatic transmission, while output is once again rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. The GM C1 platform provides the foundation.
