Registered in Bring a Trailer by a California dealer, this convertible was only seen for three miles and carried a plaque identifying it as No. 19. With around $60,000 in options and a window sticker of over $290,000, this car represents the upper limit of performance and exclusivity of the C8, now positioned for collectors.
The exterior is finished in Blade Silver Matte (GRF) with a Carbon Fiber Aero Package (code RPO TOM), which adds a prominent rear wing, front dive plane and a high hood spoiler. The shape is clearly visible with 10-spoke carbon fiber rims measuring 20 and 21 inches wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires. Additional details include LED headlights, side intakes, front splitter and black exhaust outlets. The power-retractable hardtop maintains a coupe profile when raised while maintaining open-air capability.
Inside, the Corvette ZR1X Quail Silver Limited Edition cabin combines Sky Cool Gray and Medium Ash Gray leather with Habanero accents. Carbon fiber trim stretches across the cockpit, enhancing the car’s performance. The GT2’s bucket seats are heated and ventilated, and the driver has a configurable 14-inch display paired with a 12.7-inch infotainment screen and an additional 6.6-inch touchscreen. A head-up display and a full suite of driver aids are standard, while a Bose sound system and performance data recorder round out the equipment.
Power comes from a mid-mounted 5.5L V8 LT7 twin-turbocharged engine paired with a front-axle electric motor and a 1.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. Combined output is 1,250 horsepower and 973 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and electronic all-wheel drive manage the delivery. This car is also equipped with the ZTK Performance Track Package, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, carbon-ceramic brakes and a front axle lift system.
Ownership history is designed to be minimal. The car has not been titled and is being offered based on its Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin. It was originally sent to a Northridge dealer, and the listing noted warranty coolant pipe replacement. Buyer must agree to keep the vehicle for at least 12 months to maintain warranty coverage, and sales are limited to US registration.
At the time of writing, the bid is $425,000, while the window sticker in the photo gallery shows a price tag of $290,678. The auction is scheduled to end on May 1st. For collectors, this Corvette ZR1X represents the first powertrain of its kind and low production spec.
