The National Corvette Museum will host a unique gathering of record-breaking C8s this week, offering fans the chance to see some of the brand’s most extreme performance machines in one location. A special Corvette exhibition will be held at the Museum’s annual Michelin Bash, which is scheduled to take place between April 23rd until April 25th in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The show will feature a quartet of Vette variants that managed to set new performance records for the nameplate, including a pair of Corvettes ZR1X, ZR1, and Z06.

The vehicles on display represent the advancement of Chevrolet’s rapid engineering, each pushing the limits of aerodynamics, chassis tuning and powertrain performance. As discussed previously, Chevy spent a lot of time developing the new C8 ZR1X, ZR1, and Z06 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, a 12.94-mile asphalt track in Germany that is widely considered one of the most demanding racetracks in the world, and in the process set numerous headline-grabbing running records and set the stage for the C8 to challenge some of the fastest production machines on the planet.

Additionally, the display will also include a C8 Corvette ZR1X that set new benchmarks on the drag strip, including quarter-mile time records and 0 to 60 mph acceleration.

Visitors attending the Michelin Bash will have the opportunity to see these vehicles up close and personal, with the museum offering a detailed look at the engineering advances that underpinned their record-breaking performance achievements.

In addition to hosting the record-setting C8 performance car, the Michelin Bash will also offer visitors a preview of the new Museum Collection Facility, a high-performance driving experience at NCM Motorsports Park, unique photo opportunities and more. On-site registration will be offered during the event.

For readers who may not be aware, the National Corvette Museum is located adjacent to the GM Bowling Green Assembly Plant, the exclusive production facility of American Sports Cars since 1981, and features a wide variety of exhibits, historic models, concepts and famous racing vehicles.
