Ford has confirmed that the next-generation F-150 will arrive in 2029. The automaker has created a new Product Creation and Industrialization organization to support a “major portfolio update.”
In addition to the next-generation F-150, the automaker also plans to introduce a new Super Duty. Ford said it will update 80 percent of its North American lineup by volume by 2029, including a new mid-size electric truck that will use the Blue Oval’s Universal Electric Vehicle platform.
Reports from February 2025 stated that the automaker would begin production of the next-generation F-150 in 2027, but Ford would have to delay it until 2028. This arrival date is in line with those rumors.
The 14th generation F-150 on sale today has been around since 2020. The Super Duty is slightly newer, arriving in 2023.
Motorcycle Pickup1: The F-150 is a vital vehicle for the Ford brand that is still able to compete today. Chevrolet plans to introduce the next-generation Silverado 1500 later this year, and it will go on sale to compete with the aging F-150. The 15th generation F-Series can’t come soon enough.
