Posted on

The 2026 Buick Envision serves as the sixth model year for the nameplate’s second generation, with only a few minor changes compared to the previous 2025 model. Among them are several new aesthetic improvements, such as three new wheel options. Additionally, the 2026 Envision also offers a pair of new exterior paint options. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at one of those new exterior colors, with a look at the 2026 Buick Envision with new Midnight Opal paint.

Midnight Opal is marked with the GPD color code and touch-up paint number WA-186J, and is only available on the top-end Envision Avenir. Interestingly, Midnight Opal does not include a premium surcharge. Midnight Opal is not available for the 2026 Buick Envision Preferred or ST trims.

Midnight Opal serves as a replacement for Smokey Amethyst Metallic, which was added to the Envision’s paint palette for the 2024 model year. Midnight Opal is also available in combination with the 2026 Envision Avenir’s Ebony seats in the Ebony interior accent colorway, but not with the Cool Gray seats in the Slate Blue interior accent colorway. We have additional information on all 2026 Buick Envision interior colorways for readers who want to learn more.
