U.S. Cadillac Sales Struggle In Q1 2026

Cadillac sales in the United States fell 26 percent to 31,098 units during the first quarter of 2026.

Cadillac Society’s Take

Cadillac sales started the 2026 calendar year with significant contraction, marked by the discontinuation of two models and the impact of the winter storm that affected the overall market during January and February. Thus, the poor performance in Q1 continues the brand’s downward trend that began in late 2025, which is the second consecutive quarterly decline that Cadillac has experienced in its home market.

As Cadillac Society reflected almost two years ago, Cadillac is unique in that its most expensive model is also its best-selling model – a luxury (pun not intended) that most of its competitors do not enjoy.

Meanwhile, the Cadillac Optiq and CT4 were the only models to finish the quarter well, with each posting healthy double-digit growth. With deliveries approaching 3K units, the Optiq electric crossover regained lost momentum in Q4, making it Cadillac’s second best-selling electric model (behind the Lyriq).

But the biggest surprise was the Cadillac CT4, which posted a 27 percent gain just before its order bank closed. Meanwhile, Cadillac Vistiq only recorded its first sales in Q1.
