- Toyota reproduces the dashboard of the A80 Supra.
- This is the latest reissue of Toyota’s GR Heritage Parts project.
- The new dashboard goes on sale this fall.
Since its inception in 2019, Toyota’s GR Heritage Parts project has reissued and reproduced more than 300 parts for eight classic models. One of the lucky cars backed by Toyota is the legendary A80 Supra. The automaker already offers a wide range of spare parts for the coupe, but later this year, it will offer owners the opportunity to purchase a new dashboard.
Although the automaker uses modern manufacturing methods and materials, the new Supra’s panels feature the original grain orientation. Toyota reissues these parts because dashboards, especially old ones, can crack, shrink, and break over years of exposure to sunlight.
The new dashboard joins other A80 Supra upgrades, including the instrument cluster surround, front bumper, headlights and control arms. He even made new heads and blocks for the AE86 Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno.
Toyota says the new A80 dashboard will be available this fall. The automaker produced the fourth-generation Supra from 1993 to 2002. Toyota is showing off the panel at this year’s Automotive Council, which kicks off April 10.
