Cheapest Chrysler Minivan Replaced

  • Chrysler has killed off the Voyager minivan after six model years.
  • A new entry-level Pacifica LX trim will replace it.
  • The new trim launches alongside the updated-for-2027 Pacifica.

After six years on the market, the Chrysler Voyager died. Introduced in 2020 as a cheaper option to the Pacifica, following Dodge’s discontinuation of the Grand Caravan, Chrysler replaced the Voyager with a new Pacific LX trim.

Despite the new name, there’s not much else new. According to Chrysler, the Pacifica LX will not get a new facelift. This stock minivan “retains its familiar exterior design while offering a budget-friendly entry point.” The LX will feature power sliding doors, heated seats and a heated steering wheel.

The Pacifica LX, available only in front-wheel drive, starts at $43,490, including a $1,995 destination charge. It costs $100 more to start than the 2026 Voyager.

Chrysler launched the new LX trim alongside the updated 2027 Pacifica, which is still available in Select, Limited, and Pinnacle trims. The minivan receives an updated exterior design, including new Chrysler badging, vertical LED projector headlights and an illuminated grille.

Inside, the Pacifica Pinnacle gets standard Blue Agave Nappa leather and a Copper Alloy bezel. The rest of the lineup receives new trim accents. Certain trims and above come standard with a height-adjustable power liftgate.

Under the hood is a 287-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is also available for an additional $3,345. Stellantis discontinued the hybrid version earlier this year.

The 2027 Pacifica Select is only $100 more expensive than the previous model, while the midrange Limited is actually $395 cheaper. The top-level Pacifica Pinnacle is $1,680 cheaper than before.

You can order the new 2027 Pacifica now, and Chrysler expects the updated minivan to start arriving at dealers sometime this summer. The car manufacturer confirmed with Motor1 that the name Voyager will officially die in 2027.

Motorcycle Pickup1: The Chrysler Pacifica was originally launched in 2017, and despite its age, sales of the minivan rose two percent last year. The brand sold more than 100,000 minivans last year, and its newest version will build on that success.
