Nissan Navara Model Looks Real Enough To Haul The Wood That Made It

We at Motor1.com are amused by Carpentry art creations over the last few years. One of the first creations we covered from this channel was the semi-operational engraved Toyota Land Cruiser. We followed the artist since then and saw how car-themed sculptures evolved.

The channel’s latest creation is the recently updated Nissan Navara. More specifically, he opted for a sportier-looking version of the Pro-4X for his statuette. The result is a wooden model that is perhaps the artist’s most realistic auto-engraving to date. Like the previous videos, seeing the process and attention to detail make this channel entertaining to watch.

Woodworking Art starts with two slabs of wood and cuts them in a pick-up outline. The builder then made a hole to form the opening for the door. Additional boards make up the whole body and “panels”. Armed with a chisel, the sculptor carves intricate design details to make the piece of wood look like a Navara piece.

This wooden version uses a frame with semi-independent front suspension and a live axle at the rear. It even has coil springs for added realism. Not satisfied with that, Woodworking Art made a dashboard and steering wheel for the build. Even the seats have the pattern seen in the original Navara. Everything was closed by painting the headlights and taillights and installing step boards.

Comparing this engraving of the first Land Cruiser with the Navara is the difference between day and night. It’s also great to see the artist develop over the last two years. We expect a lot more from this channel, and there’s a good chance we’ll see more realistic work in the future.
