Bugatti Debuts Customizable Wine Bottle Box With Satellite Technology

Bugatti has partnered with Champagne Carbon to create a unique wine bottle case. The La Bouteille Sur Mesure is a bespoke case with “nearly unlimited” customization options, sculpted to look like the brand’s high-end models. Customers can get a case that looks like a Chiron, Divo, Mistral, or Bolide.

“These highly individual and luxurious bottles will make the perfect match for every customer’s hyper sports car,” said Wiebke Ståhl, managing director of Bugatti International.

The case is fully customizable, along with the wine bottle and wine inside. Customers will be able to specify not only the exterior color of the case but also the interior. Some components are available in different colors, like the company’s cars, allowing people to make bespoke champagne containers like their own Bugatti.

The new La Bouteille Sur Mesure arrives almost a year after the automaker revealed its La Bouteille Noire, a 15-liter bottle of Champagne Carbon housed in a case inspired by the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. It took more than 150 hours to build the case, which features 314 sheets of carbon fiber. The new case uses the same hand-crafted process.

“It’s exciting to see Alexandre Mea and Champagne Carbon draw inspiration from whatever we do at Bugatti – be it design, technology or the materials we use,” adds Ståhl.

Taking this case a step further is the optional thermodynamic cooling cell, a technology found in orbiting satellites. That and 15 high-end fans circulate cool air inside the case, ensuring vintages are kept at optimal temperatures.

Customers can customize the case, carbon fiber bottle and wine inside. Also available is the world’s first photo phosphorescent carbon fiber bottle. The bottle pours up to 150 glasses of champagne.

The Chiron, Divo, Bolide and Mistral were amazing machines that are now immortalized as wine bottle holders. Automakers like Bugatti have the pedigree to offer such unique branded items. Thermodynamically cooled custom wine bottle cases aren’t something you see every day from companies that make cars.
