Cadillac Escalade IQ On Sportline 24-In Wheels: Yay Or Nay?

Posted on

The Cadillac Escalade IQ doesn’t lack for style, bringing Caddy’s EV-focused design language in the guise of a full-size luxury SUV. However, some people will definitely feel the need to customize their vehicle, with a set of aftermarket wheels serving as one of the quickest ways to stand out from the crowd. Now, we’re checking out this particular Escalade IQ in the new 24 set and asking – yes or no?

Cadillac Escalade IQ special.

In photos taken from social media, we see the Cadillac Escalade IQ covered in satin/matte black, giving this dashing SUV a stealth bomber-like appearance. The body’s clean surfaces and upright proportions remain intact, with Cadillac’s signature vertical LED lighting elements framing the front fascia. Clean sides, bold proportions and an elongated rear window emphasize the Escalade IQ’s size, while a dark finish reduces visual contrast across the exterior, creating a more unified appearance.

Of course, one of the biggest changes is the set of 24-inch EVM EV Sportline alloy wheels visible at the corners. These wheels mostly feature a closed-face aero disc design with smooth cuts near the outer edge, a style generally associated with efficiency-focused electric vehicles, although the design also gives us a hint of a Rolls-Royce Phantom. Painted black to match the rest of the vehicle, the wheels blend perfectly with the overall design, minimizing visual clutter. The center lid carries a minimalist logo, while the lack of exposed spokes gives the SUV a modern feel, almost like a concept car.

Compared to GM’s factory 22- and 24-inch wheel options for the Escalade IQ and Escalade IQL, which typically feature more complex multi-spoke patterns and brighter finishes, these EVM wheels are much simpler. From the side, the combination of large-diameter wheels and relatively thin sidewall tires fill out the wheel arches effectively, keeping the Escalade’s stance commanding. However, the wheel’s nearly solid surface visually reduces the perception of movement and mechanical detail, which some enthusiasts may find less appealing than a more open design.

On the other hand, the aero-inspired looks align with the Escalade IQ’s electric powertrain and futuristic stance, potentially appealing to buyers who prefer a cleaner, more technologically advanced aesthetic.

So, what to do You think about? Will these EVM EV Sportline 24-inch wheels fit the Escalade IQ, or would you stick with the factory options? Let us know in the comments!
