If you’ve got a third-generation Chevy Colorado in your driveway and feel like it’s lacking in style and off-road prowess, fear not, because AEV has the solution. American Expedition Vehicles now offers a new path to factory-grade off-roader status thanks to two new turnkey upgrade packages. This new offering combines several signature AEV components into a comprehensive, ready-to-install solution that reflects OEM-supported assembly engineering and integration.

Among the core upgrades is a heavy-duty COMEUP 9.5rs winch system. This unit uses synthetic rope to reduce weight and increase safety, but still provides a large towing capacity of 9,500 pounds. The winch is specially designed to integrate with the AEV stamped steel front bumper, ensuring proper installation and durability in tough off-road conditions.

Visual and functional improvements are also an important part of this package. The turnkey package includes special paint appearance upgrades that add custom graphics across exterior surfaces such as the hood, roof and tailgate, giving the truck a more aggressive and distinctive look in the process. Complementing this is a bundle of exterior branding and windshield banners, further aligning the vehicle with AEV’s off-road chops.

In addition to restoration and styling equipment, the Chevy Colorado conversion package also incorporates several components aimed at improving performance on challenging terrain. One is a high-mounted snorkel system, which is designed to channel cooler, cleaner air into the engine while helping to reduce dust and water ingress during off-road use. Crafted from durable, UV-resistant materials, this snorkel is intended to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh environments.

Wheel options are also a big part of the package. Buyers can choose between two AEV designs, both designed for off-road strength and durability. One features a motorsport-inspired multi-spoke layout for increased structural rigidity, while the other offers compatibility with guard rings or beadlock models for added tire safety in extreme conditions.

The ZR2 Bison package starts at $4,570, while the ZR2 package is $7,975.
