GM is still working on the next-generation 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500, and while the new truck hasn’t been officially announced yet, we’ve already pulled out a few prototypes for testing. That includes a prototype of the upcoming 2027 Chevy Silverado High Country. Now, we’ve given you a look at what the new 2027 Chevy Silverado High Country design will look like.

Uses design patent drawings that were revealed late last year and vary GM Authority spy images for inspiration, our rendering of the 2027 Silverado High Country brings a much more refined and modern look to GM’s full-size pickup design. Up front, the truck features a wide horizontal grille with lots of chrome detailing, which is flanked by slim top LED daytime running lights and vertically arranged main lighting elements.
Along the sides, the body surfaces appear smooth yet sculpted, with the rear wheel arches being more pronounced. The window line joins the sharper angles of the rear doors, with a high-gloss black finish that adds contrast to the semi-monochromatic look. Large multi-spoke wheels fill the arches, reinforcing the High Country’s focus on road comfort and visual presence. Retractable running boards are also expected to be offered, offering better ease of entry while keeping the side profile clean when stowed.

At the rear, the rendering shows the rear doors framed by vertical lighting elements similar in shape to those seen on the Chevy Silverado EV. The bumper integrates a revised CornerStep cutout and a more pronounced center step, while four-point exhaust outlets can be seen jutting out from the bumper. The Multi-Flex rear door is expected to remain optional.
As with the current model, the new 2027 Chevy Silverado High Country is expected to occupy the top spot in the non-off-road full-size pickup lineup, while the LTZ trim is not expected to return in the latest generation.

It’s also worth noting that the latest prototype has been spotted wearing road-focused Bridgestone Alenza tires, as well as additional details including a new cabin-mounted spoiler that likely integrates an antenna component. As previously reported, the next-generation Silverado will introduce a new interior and a revised powertrain lineup with at least two new engines based on the upcoming Gen 6 Small Block architecture.
As always, keep it locked GM Authority for all the latest and greatest on the next generation Silverado 1500 and beyond.
