Whelen Cadillac Podiums Sebring After Wayne Taylor Racing DQ

Porsche was the big winner at last week’s 12 Hours Of Sebring, crossing the finish line with a one-two punch in GTP as well as finishing first in GTD Pro. Meanwhile, Cadillac Racing saw its Whelen Engineering V-Series.R take third in GTP despite being the fourth car in its class to take the checkered flag.

Wayne Taylor Racing’s number 10 car, driven by Filipe Albuquerque, Will Stevens and Ricky Taylor, actually finished in third place. However, he was disqualified after a post-race inspection due to excessive camber.

Because No. 10 V-Series.R DQ and relegated to last place, the No. 1 race car. 31 Welen Engineering which was in fourth position was shifted to third position. “We just fought all day and tried our best. To be honest, we had a good car at the start, but we had nothing at the end,” said Bamber. “I don’t know if we had any damage from the impact we had at the start of the race. We were torn up, there were no penalties accessible from race control, which was surprising and that’s all.”

No. 31 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R

Another Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R – the No. 40 driven by Louis Deletraz, Colton Herta and Jordan Taylor – managed to finish in the top 10 in its class. Although two other Cadillac Racing entries were first past the checkered flag, the No. V-Series.R. It was the 40 that set the fastest lap with a time of 1:49.428.
