Lucid Air Stealth Look Package Debuts To Fly Under The Radar

The Lucid Air with the new Stealth Look package is here to give the electric sedan a darker and more discreet look. It made its public debut during Monterey Car Week on August 17, but the EV brand is releasing package images now. This option is available in the first quarter of 2023 and adds $6,000 to the vehicle price.

The Stealth Look package will be an optional upgrade for the Performance Touring, Grand Touring, and Grand Touring variants of Lucid Air. It modifies 35 exterior components so that they have what the company calls a “dark Stealth Polished finish,” rather than the standard platinum look for these parts. Shadows can be seen on the rear view mirrors, the frame around the glass canopy, the lower body elements, and the headlight trim. The wheels get a satin black insert.

Buyers do not need to order a Stealth Look package with a dark body color. It is available in Stellar White, Infinite Black, Cosmos Silver, Quantum Grey, and Zenith Red exterior colors.

If you’re interested in the Lucid Air with the Stealth Look package, the company’s configurator starts showing options on Wednesday, August 10. The automaker also offers a one-on-one Lucid Studio Live where people schedule meetings with representatives from automakers and build their ideal EV in a virtual environment.

Lucid recently halved 2022 production forecast for Air. It now expects to build 6,000 to 7,000 examples of the electric sedan, rather than the original plan to produce 20,000 EVs. Supply chain problems are the main cause of the reduction.

According to the company’s financial results, Lucid delivered 360 Air samples in the first quarter and 679 of them in the second quarter. Low number requested Elon Musk for mocking automakers on Twitter. Lucid’s revenue in Q2 was $97.3 million, which was below analyst expectations.
