2023 Mercedes-Benz CLA Facelift Spy Video With Small Camo

[ad_1]

Mercedes-Benz introduced the current generation CLA-Class in 2019, so it’s about time we saw the newer version being tested. Thanks, YouTuber walkoARTvideos caught one in Germany trying to hide the changes under camouflage.

Much like the Mercedes A-Class it’s based on, the CLA facelift prototype that was caught only had a recessed front and rear fascia, hinting that only minor changes had occurred. Some bites and creases there, along with redesigned lighting elements are to be expected. There could be a change to the bumper, given that the prototype came with concealment in those areas as well. This is not surprising as it is only a mid-cycle refresh.

Inside, substantial changes are inevitable, mostly to update the swoopy sedan to keep up with the times. A revised center console and instrument panel will come as no surprise, which should come with the brand’s latest MBUX infotainment software.

Under the hood, Mercedes will most likely offer the same powertrain for the facelifted CLA. The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine should run, mated to a seven-speed automatic clutch. An all-wheel-drive version of the 4Matic should also be offered. A more powerful AMG version is also likely, which should be the entry-level AMG model for the US market.

Speaking of the A-Class, the new version of the entry-level Merc has also been seen tested before. We expect Mercedes to unveil a facelifted model this year for the 2023 model year. If the rumors are true, this will be the final version of the A-Class, which will be discontinued in 2025 along with the B-Class.

For the record, the updated A-Class won’t arrive in the United States as Mercedes plans to discontinue the model in the US after the 2022 model year. This will effectively make the upcoming CLA 2023 the entry-level Merc for the US market, debuting sooner rather than later. .
