2023 Cadillac Escalade Gets Mandatory OnStar, Connected Services Plan

Buyers of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade can expect the price of this luxury SUV to include the cost of the mandatory three-year OnStar & Connected Service Plan, Cadillac Society has learned.

At the moment, it’s unclear how much of the OnStar & Connected Service Pack (production code R9M) will be added to the overall price of the Cadillac Escalade 2023, but it’s worth noting that the plan also includes vehicles made by other brands such as Buick and GMC deployed by parent Cadillac, General Motors. For the brand, feature subscriptions run from $905 to $1,675, so it’s likely an Escalade subscription will fall somewhere in that range.

As a reminder, OnStar & Connected Services adds an in-vehicle internet connection that supports apps like smartphone-based remote key fob, Alexa AI Built-In AI assistant, Spotify, Audiobooks, navigation (including Maps+), among others. OnStar Safety Services are also included in the package, and these include Automatic Accident Response, Roadside Assistance, and Stolen Vehicle Assistance.

A spokesperson said Cadillac Society that inclusion of the mandatory three-year OnStar & Connected Service Plan serves to “enhance our customers’ ownership experience.” They also explain that mandatory plans provide owners with a full suite of OnStar & Connected Services for three years, allowing them “more time to enjoy them”, providing customer value and a seamless onboarding experience.

Fleet customers who purchase a 2023 Cadillac Escalade will gain access to OnStar Vehicle Insights, which replaces the mass-market Remote Access feature. This feature provides data such as oil life and fuel efficiency, as well as driver behavior metrics and daily trip summaries.

As a reminder, the Cadillac Escalade 2023 continues to ride on the body-on-frame T1 vehicle platform and is offered with two engine options for the “regular” model. The first is a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 petrol engine (production code L87), which is capable of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This engine is standard on the Escalade, and models with this bike wear the 600 badge on the elevator doors. Meanwhile, a 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine (production code LM2) is optional. It’s rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque; models with this engine sport the 600D badge on the back. Both engines are mated to a Cadillac 10-speed automatic transmission.

Joining the Escalade lineup for the 2023 model year is the all-new high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V, which features a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4) tuned to produce 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. , making it the most powerful Cadillac ever built. Production of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade range begins on 18 July^th.
